At Parkside, we use the following exam boards:

All our examination arrangements are governed by the Joint Council for Qualifications.

The main external exam series for GCSE and A-Levels takes place during May and June.

The final date for exams this summer is:

A-Level: 23rd June 2026
GCSE: 17th June 2026

Contingency Day:

The contingency day for 2026 is Wednesday 24th June. Students are advised to be available up to and including this date in the unlikely event of national or significant local disruption to the exam schedule.

Exam Timetables:

Personalised exam timetables will be issued directly to all our Year 11 & Year 13 students once finalised.
Students must refer to their individual timetables for the specific dates, times & seating arrangements for their exams.
Exam timetables will also be published via our Arbor apps.

We are committed to ensuring every student receives the support they are entitled to. However, please be aware that Exam Access Arrangements (such as extra time) are strictly regulated by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ). We must adhere to these rules to avoid malpractice.

Results Days
A-Level Results Day: Thursday 13 August 2026

GCSE Results Day: Thursday 20 August 2026

Students are invited into school to collect their exam results and receive support and guidance from key staff (should it be required). Further information about the location of collection and times will be made available to students in the Summer Term.

We do not provide students or their families with results over the telephone or by email however we will accommodate the following alternative arrangements for results collection:

A stamped self addressed envelope for results to be posted. This should be provided ahead of the student leaving school in the Summer Term.

Written authorisation from the student for someone else to collect their results on the day. This should include the name of the person collecting the results and the student’s signature.

Making an exam script or a review of marking request:

Collection of Examination Certificates

The certificates from Summer 2024 can be collected from Reception. They must be collected in person and signed for.

The certificates from Summer 2025 can be collected from Reception from 1st December 2025. They must be collected in person and signed for.

If you are unable to collect your certificates in person you must contact Mrs Baker, our exams officer, to arrange alternative arrangements.
