Some of our year 10 students recently attended a STEM workshop at the Aviation Academy at Leeds & Bradford Airport. 

They received a tour of the premises, completed flight calculations, built an Anemometer and learned about aerodynamics by making their own planes! 

In addition, they learnt about pathways into this exciting sector and what skills and qualifications they may need to do so. After the session, 9 of the students were more interested in accessing job roles within this sector.

They all really enjoyed the experience and were a credit to Parkside.
