We had a really interesting trip to Bradford College today with our yr 10 computer science students. They were given a mission- they were part of a crew onboard the International Space Station (ISS) and there was a problem with the air supply. The team were alerted to a cyber- attack directed at the ISS which left them with 90 minutes of air left. How could they fix the problem?

They were given a list of (virtual) equipment that they could 'utilise' including a 3D printer, devices with internet access and a SpaceX crew dragon (vehicle used to transport crew to and from the station)

After a period of pondering, both teams began to solve the issue and delivered their conclusions to the other group. They were all brilliant and both teams solved the problem with time left over and survived! Apparently, they completed the task quicker than the college students ðŸ‘

The recap was really good as it reminded the students that the skills, they had used are key skills that employers need i.e. problem solving and being creative etc. 

We were then given a tour of the college, highlighting what's available on the campus.
