Carnaud Metalbox
This morning (03.10.22) we visited Carnaud Metalbox, Shipley who design, develop and manufacture high performance metal forming and finishing machinery for the production of beverage, food & aerosol cans.
The students were a credit to us, and all said that they had learnt something new! We had a tour of the site, learnt about all the different stages of production, looked inside many of the huge machines they manufacture and learnt about how they work and what was required to maintain them. We then listened to key members of the team who explained what their job roles were, their day-to-day tasks and how they made their way into this sector from school.
