Parkside students excel in Dance workshop

Dance professional, Caroline Smalley, delivered an inspiring masterclass at Parkside School that covered contemporary technique and choreography.

Following the workshop, students could have been given 'spotted' invites by Caroline for an audition at the Centre for Advanced Training at the Northern school of Contemporary Dance's headquarters in Leeds. The CAT programme enables students to access highly specialist dance training in their locality, whilst continuing to live at home. The scheme also promotes teh very best practice and provides exceptional and innovative tuition to young people.

The workshop was a fantastic opportunity for our talented students and Caroline thoroughly enjoyed teaching them. All 14 of the students shone throughout the workshop and this was reflected in Caroline's request in inviting 9 of our students to audition for the prestigious CAT programme on 20th and 27th May 2017.

Our congratulations and good luck wishes for the audition go to the 9 selected;

  1. Megan Bown
  2. Niamh Cater
  3. Abigail Docherty
  4. Poppy Ginley
  5. Maisy Green
  6. Jessica Leeming
  7. Anyah Morgan
  8. Eve Procter
  9. Jacob Wing
