Please find attached a copy of this weeks targeted questions for Mathematics revision along with examiners tips and solutions. All questions this week are aimed at securing knowledge for all pupils entered for both the Higher and Foundation papers.
If your child has any difficulties with understanding any of the questions, please remind them that we are here to help and Maths support is available before school, at break and lunchtime and after school every day in FB5.
This week sees the launch of our Mathematics Saturday School revision classes for pupils who have signed up to attend. The first class will commence at 10am on 7 May, 2016 and will last for two hours. Pupils are able to arrive at school between 09:45 and 10:00 ready for a prompt start, they will be able to access the building through the theatre entrance door via the orange spot area where a member of the Parkside Mathematics team will be there to meet them. Unfortunately we will not be able to accept anyone arriving late to the session. In addition to the revision materials that will be available, the session will also provide a valuable opportunity for students to seek help with any specific questions or aspects of the subject which they may be having difficulty with.
Next week also brings the final Aspire Master class for this academic year. Invites have been sent out via email for the sessions, both of which will focus on the ‘Number’ aspect of the subject. The sessions will provide a valuable opportunity for pupils to not only ensure that they are secure in their knowledge of this area but also to extend and deepen their understanding of this key aspect. If you wish for your child to attend one of the sessions but have not received an email, please do not hesitate to contact me directly via the email address below.
