Unit 1. People and the Physical World. A neat follow on from year 9. a recap on the end of year 9 work then straight into the impacts of flooding around the world. We may see it as a danger but some people would die without them. |

Unit 2. People and Places to Live. Where we live and why. Why we move and what impact that has. Why are towns and cities like they are? How long will you have to work before you retire and why is it longer than your parents?

| Unit 5. Coursework module – an applied task finding out how to solve Hebden Bridge’s traffic problems. Consultants have been paid over £500 000 to do this and it still hasn’t worked so what better than see what some 15 year olds can do. |

| Unit 3. People and Their Needs- the main thing many people need is land to grow food or money to buy it. There’s a bit more to it than that, farming, manufacturing, tourism, electricity generation and Tiger economies and their impact on the rest of us: all are included in this module. |

Unit 4. People and Their Environment –this is the eco unit, Global warming and whether to buy an umbrella, sun cream or, if some predictions are correct, more gloves and woolly hats.
We also look at water pollution, acid rain (one of the success stories on pollution control in the U.K. at least), quarrying and National Parks. Having done all that we just about have enough time to squeeze in……………

Unit 6. Revision and exam skills – all the fine tuning to get the absolute best possible results in the exam.
