| Course Description |
| The learners undertake a range of tasks that have been designed to recognise their achievements in a modern, practical way that is relevant to the workplace.
Specification Aims
This qualification specifically aims to:
- Develop learner’s knowledge and understanding of art and design
- Develop learner’s skills, knowledge and understanding in contexts that are directly relevant to employment situations, thereby enhancing employability within the art and design sector
- Develop learner’s ability to work effectively in different art and design environments
- Enable learners to develop knowledge and understanding of the art and design environment, art and design practice and demonstrate practical skills, techniques and processes through working on art and design briefs
- Encourage progression by assisting in the development of skills, knowledge and understanding which learners will need to undertake further education opportunities or enter employment
- Promote interaction between employers, centres and learners by relating teaching and assessment to real organisations
